I finally got around to upgrading my retina MacBook Pro (rMBP) to Mavericks (OS X 10.9). After waiting (and waiting!) patiently for the 5.3Gb download, the upgrade process was a snap. If only we had a faster connection!

I previously reported that my Retina MacBook Pro often won’t recognize USB devices plugged into my Thunderbolt display when waking from sleep. Now I’m having a new problem. It won’t charge when plugged into the display.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re likely aware that Apple introduced their 3rd generation iPad yesterday. In addition to a Retina display, better camera, and faster processor, the mobile-enabled versions are 4G LTE compatible.
Shortly after I upgraded from my old iPhone 3Gs to an iPhone 4, I noticed that there was a somewhat dark (dim) spot on the retina display. It was less an inch from the top, right in the middle of the display. Not a huge deal, but definitely annoying.
