Asus Laptop Won’t Charge

Yesterday afternoon, my son reported that his Asus laptop wouldn’t charge. It’s about a year and a half old and has shown no other signs of trouble. A bit of basic troubleshooting suggested that it was the laptop itself, not the charger.

MacBook Pro Trackpad Going Crazy

Hmmm. The more I used my MacBook Pro (the new one, w/a 15″ Retina display), the more little glitches I discover. The latest is that the trackpad will just go crazy every once in awhile, making it nearly impossible to control the cursor.

Well, this sure is frustrating… I got a shiny new Retina MacBook Pro along with a 27″ Thunderbolt display to replace my dead mid-2009 MacBook Pro. It’s a great combo except that it has trouble recognizing USB devices plugged directly into the display.

About ten days ago, my beloved MacBook Pro died. It was working fine when I got up to grab some chow, but when I returned it was dead. It had powered down and was completely and utterly unresponsive. What a bummer.

As I noted earlier, we recently bought a couple of Asus laptops. Though I was pleasantly surprised by the (relatively) small amount of bloatware that was present when we first booted them up, there was stuff that needed to be removed.
