Yesterday I reported that I was having troubles upgrading my iPad 2 to the latest iOS version. I tried several times, but the progress bar would make it most of the way across before the process froze while “Restoring iPad software…”

Last night, while trying to update my iPad to the lastest and greatest version of iOS, I ran into a problem. For starters, iTunes crashed while installing the update. I thus had to put my iPad into recovery mode and try again. But then I got stuck.
Having owned an iPad since the day they released the new version back in March, I’ve now had some time to think about my decision and even to cook up a bit of buyer’s remorse. It’s not that I don’t like it, because I do. It’s just that I’m starting to wish I had bought a different version.
Last Friday I headed over to our local Apple retailer and picked up an iPad 2. When I returned home, my wife told me that she thought she might want one, too, but she later backtracked and decided to get an Amazon Kindle instead.
I just ran across a great little app called TuneIn Radio that lets you listen to “thousands of your favorite [...] stations and programs” on your favorite iDevice. It’s currently selling for $0.99 on the App Store, and it’s worth every penny.
This is just a quick note to say that the Netflix app has finally been updated to work with the iPhone and iPod Touch (it was previously iPad only). You can even stream over 3G on the iPhone. Pretty slick. Get it here.
