I recently got an iPhone 3Gs, and have been playing around with it learning how to do all kinds of cool things. This evening, I discovered that you can easily take screenshots of whatever is currently displayed on the screen. Best of all, you don’t need “an app for that” — it’s a built-in function.
How to Take iPhone Screenshots
Here’s how it works:
Simply press/hold the “Home” button (the button just below the screen) and then press the “Sleep/Wake” button on the top, right edge of your iPhone. If you do it right, the screen will briefly flash white and your screenshot will be added to your “Camera Roll.”
This might be old news to some of you, but it’s pretty slick, and very useful for doing how-to articles, etc.
