We got a low flow shower head that we actually like better than our original one; a coworker that I mentioned this to then went and bought one as well. He saved about $120 on his first water bill after installing it (his girlfriend and her son both took long showers twice a day.)

The amazing part? He'd tried to replace the showerhead once before and they took it out of the trash and put it back on while he was at work, heheh.

The showerhead that I got has a few models...you can get the model that I have which goes from 1 to 1.5 to 2 gallons per minute but automatically goes back to 1 gallon per minute when you shut the water off, or you can get one that is just 1 gallon per minute. We always keep it on 1 gpm anyway since we like that setting the best. It's an American Standard 1660.710.002 Flowise Water Saving Showerhead which you can get at faucet depot for around $16.
