How to Listen to the Radio on Your iPhone (or iPod/iPad)

I just ran across a great little app called TuneIn Radio that lets you listen to “thousands of your favorite […] stations and programs” on your favorite iDevice. It’s currently selling for $0.99 on the App Store, and it’s worth every penny.

I know what you’re thinking… I have an iPhone (or iPod, iPad, whatever) in my pocket… Why would I want to listen to the radio? Well, fair point. If you have no interest in the radio, then you should probably skip this one.

But if you do enjoy listening to news, sports, music, or talk radio, then you should definitely check out this app. Not only can you stream live radio, but you can also bookmark your favorite stations, listen to archived shows, pause live radio, rewind to hear whatever you just missed, etc. You can even record whatever you happen to be listening to.

I even use this around the house, or when I’m sitting at my computer because it’s so darn easy to use. Just tap the app to open it, browse for a station just about anywhere in the world, and start listening.

Just be aware that, while you can find a ton of stations, not everything is available. In my case, I was able to listen to the majority of stations that I was looking, but in one case the content wasn’t available for streaming.

Note that they also have versions for Android, Blackberry, etc.
