When I got my iPhone, it was love at first use. Aside from that pesky dark spot on the camera lens, I’ve only had a few minor complaints. One of the most frustrating has been the apparent lack of a caps lock function on the virtual keyboard.
As it turns out, the caps lock functionality is a user-selectable setting that is (for whatever reason) set to “off” by default. Curious as to how you can enable caps lock? Simply follow these instructions:
- Select “Settings” from your home screen
- Select “General“
- Select “Keyboard“
- Toggle “Enable caps lock” to “ON“
- Enable Gmail Themes in Google Apps
- Delete Podcasts Directly from Your iPhone
- Take Screenshots With Your iPhone
- How to Send Full-Resolution iPhone Pictures Via E-mail
- Where Does Mac OS X Store iPod or iPhone Apps?
- Where Does Windows Store iPod or iPhone Apps?
- Dark Spot on iPhone Camera?
- Phone Numbers Not Synchronizing from Google Contacts to iPhone?
That’s it. Now all you have to do is double tap the shift button and it will turn blue. This indicates that the caps lock has been activated. Simply tap it again to deactivate.
