I’m not sure how or why, but my chat client (Adium) recently forgot my MSN Messenger password. Whenever I’d launch Adium, I’d get a window prompting me to enter my MSN Messenger password, but I couldn’t remember what it was.
Fortunately, it’s easy to reset your password — as long as you know where to go. Your MSN Messenger account is now linked to your Windows Live ID (formerly your MSN Passport). To reset your password, go here:
And click the “Forgot your password?” link. You’ll be prompted for your e-mail address. Jump through the hoops and they’ll send you an e-mail to reset your password. Simply click the link in that message and follow the instructions.
