How to Cancel a Waiver Claim on ESPN Fantasy Football

by Michael on October 12, 2012 · 1 comment

Just before kickoff of last night’s Thursday Night Football game I tried to pick up one of the players. I was doing this with the ESPN Fantasy Football app and it wasn’t immediately obvious that it was too close to kickoff to pick him up. But it was.

I thus inadvertently placed a waiver claim for the player next week instead of snagging him for this week.

Not knowing what this weekend might hold and whether or not better options might emerge, I didn’t want to burn my top waiver slot on a marginal player. That said, I had already submitted the request so now I was stuck. Or was I?

After a bit of poking around, I discovered that you can access your “Pending Transcations” through a link just above your roster on the “My Team” page. From there, you can cancel your pending waiver claims.

So… If you regret an ESPN Fantasy Football waiver claim that you’ve already submitted, don’t despair. You can cancel it with just a couple of clicks.

You are awesome, thank you! I can’t believe that ESPN doesn’t have this in their guide/rules anywhere. You saved me from making a bad waver claim!
