Amazon’s Phone Number: How to Call Amazon.com Customer Service

by mike on December 15, 2009 · 3 comments

Have you ever wished you could pick up a phone and reach out to an actual human being at Amazon.com? I have. In fact, just tonight I was needed to talk to someone to get an ordering problem straightened out.

I’m not big on automated phone trees, and I’m too impatient for e-mail support, so I turned me attention to finding a direct customer service number. After just a few minutes, I struck gold…

Amazon.com’s phone number

The Amazon.com direct customer service phone number is:

(Drumroll please…)

1-800-201-7575

When I called, I was talking to an real, live Amazon.com CSR within about 30 seconds. Not only that, but he was both polite and capable.

While I rarely have problems when ordering from Amazon, it’s nice to know I can easily reach a competent service rep if the need ever arises.

This juicy tid-bit of info has been tucked away from a future time. I’m guessing I’ll need it sometime.

Amazon has the WORST customer service policies of anyone I have encountered to date. I have been charged $79.00 for “mazon Prime”, which I did not order. Attempted to try to converse with a woman in India, who had very limited English skills. She said I hadn’t been charged, but that I would get a refund in 2 to 3 business days! Interesting concept. I am more than annoyed by people taking my money, then not giving it right back to me when the charge was not authorized in the first place! What a bunch of BS. I will have to go through the dispute process with my credit union. What a waste of my time, as well as that of the credit union.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
I ordered a GPS Navigator from Amazon via Digital Pavillion
Electonics and when I just opened the box there was a mount,
a charger and a manual but NO GPS NAVIGATOR!!!!!! This
thing cost me a hundred bucks and here I am without a
navigator. I started to make a complaint on the
Amazon website but was so upset about that empty box decided
I just had to call and get it over with NOW!!!! I couldn’t for the
life of me find a phone number on their site so I went to my AOL
search engine and typed in “How to call Amazon.com” and voila
up you popped. You were right!!! Dialed the number you gave and
was connected immediately to a really nice, really efficient rep
who apologized, took all my info and sent me a computer generated
return label. Amazing!!! So thankful I didn’t have to go through all
that awful push 1, push 4, push 7 crap because I was waaaaaaay to
upset to deal with that tonight. Thanks again jammer (six) you’re
a gem!!!! : )
